BOULDER, Colo.-
When a group of college students meets with Gov. Bill Ritter on Monday to press for more money for education there will be a familiar face in the crowd.
August Ritter, son of the governor, has joined the coalition that will meet with the governor and legislators at the Capitol. He is a student at Colorado State University.
The coalition wants a budget increase of $2.8 million for colleges and universities.
“I don’t think we have the best track record when it comes to showing the legislators that we are there and we care,” August Ritter said. “We now have a unified voice.”
He added: “There’s definitely worse things that a father and son could be arguing about.”
