Aurora police are looking for some brazen robbers who crashed a stolen truck into a check-cashing store Tuesday night.
As employees of the Money Store in the 12800 block of E. Mississippi Avenue were closing and locking up around 11 p.m., the robbers drove a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck into the side of the store, collapsing enough of the wall for them to enter the store.
An employee said one of the men was armed with a handgun.
The employees sounded a police alarm as the robbers grabbed “a significant” amount of money and ran. Police declined to say how much money was stolen.
Police brought a tracking dog to the scene, which followed the robbers’ scent a short distance before it disappeared. The robbers left the truck behind, which police learned was an unreported stolen vehicle.
Police have not released descriptions of the robbers or composite sketches.
