If the ice is melting, fishing for walleye can’t be far behind. The Colorado Walleye Association will bring the season into focus with its fourth annual “All Eyes on Walleyes Expo” on March 11 at the Adams County Fairgrounds, 9755 Henderson Road, Brighton.
The 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. event will feature information on how and where to catch one of the state’s most popular game fish. Various vendors and sponsors will give product demonstration, and angling experts will dispense advice in a series of seminars, formal and informal.
A $5 fee will be charged adults; kids younger than 10 will be admitted free. Phone 719-481-4647 for more information.
Featured seminars: 9:30 a.m., Ron Gazvoda on “how and when” strategy; 11:30 a.m., Paul Winkle’s state and local forecast; 1:30 p.m., Terry Wickstrom on seasonal movements of walleye.
