Boulder – Police arrested a fourth teenager in connection with the homicide of a Lafayette woman who was found dead in her home last week.
Lafayette police arrested Jared Sajal Guy late Friday, Boulder district attorney’s spokeswoman Carolyn French said Monday.
He is being held for investigation of being an accessory to the slaying of 52-year-old Linda Damm, French said.
Guy, at 18 the oldest of the four teens now in custody for the killing, made a brief court appearance Monday afternoon at the Boulder County Jail.
He is scheduled, along with the other three suspects in the case – 15-year-old Tess Damm, Linda Damm’s daughter; 17-year-old Bryan Grove, Tess’ boyfriend; and 16-year-old Jared Smith – to be charged Wednesday morning in Boulder District Court, French said.
French declined to say whether Damm, Grove and Smith would be charged as adults in the case.
Following up on an anonymous tip, police found Linda Damm’s body a week ago in her home on West Brome Place in Lafayette.
Tess Damm, Grove and Smith were arrested shortly thereafter.
Linda Damm died from multiple stab wounds to the neck, the Boulder coroner determined. But authorities have not revealed how long they think Damm was dead before they found her.
French wouldn’t say whether authorities anticipated more arrests.
