COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-
Prosecutors have filed reckless manslaughter and assault charges against a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend.
Kenneth Orlando, 39, faces up to six years in prison if convicted of manslaughter.
Orlando is accused in the Feb. 11 death of Elaine Strecker, 47. Her body was found hours after her current boyfriend reported she had been assaulted.
Police said she had refused medical treatment.
The El Paso County coroner determined Strecker bled to death. The coroner said her most serious injury was a broken nose and she could have survived with treatment.
Orlando is free on $25,000 bail. His next court date is April 23.
