Lakewood – Test results have been inconclusive in Thursday’s death of a Brady Exploration High School student, health officials said today.

Samples taken at autopsy were unable to confirm a specific organism that caused the male senior’s death and a definitive cause of death won’t be determined, according to a statement by the Jefferson County Department of Health and Environment.

An investigation had focused on whether the student at the charter school, located at 5290 W. Ohio Ave., died of bacterial meningitis.

People who believe they had very close contact with the student the week before his death were urged to call Jefferson County’s communicable disease control program, 303-239-7052, to determine if preventive treatment may be needed.
