CHEYENNE, Wyo.-
The first of four additional C-130 cargo planes that have been reassigned to the Wyoming Air National Guard has arrived here.
The commander of Cheyenne’s 153rd Airlift Wing, Col. Harold Reed, watched as the plane arrived Monday.
“I feel like a new dad,” he said.
The other three planes are expected to arrive before the end of the year as part of reassignments by the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission.
The first plane came from the 302nd Airlift Wing at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colo. The plane was previously used by active-duty airmen.
