DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY’S NATIONAL RENEWABLE ENERGY LABORATORY: Announced that Jerry Olson and Sarah Kurtz are the Dan David Prize Laureates for 2007. Olson and Kurtz, who received the award Thursday in Paris, were selected for “their exceptional and profound contributions to the field of photovoltaic energy,” the prize committee said.

THE SHAKA FRANKLIN FOUNDATION FOR YOUTH: Announced that former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb has joined its national board of trustees and former Denver Clerk and Recorder Wayne Vaden has been elected local board of trustees vice chairman. The nonprofit also announced that small-business owner Selena Dunham and real-estate executive Jay Barry have been appointed to the local board.

R.W. BECK INC.: Hired Bahman Daryanian as a senior consultant, Mike Lehr as senior consulting engineer and Peter Ruestman as a senior consultant.

DENVER DESIGN DISTRICT: Named Sarah Coates a marketing assistant.

SCHOLARCENTRIC: Karen Middle ton has joined the company as vice president of development.

COMCAST MEDIA CENTER: Hired Sam Klosterman as director of its distributor services, Ed Nunez as account director and Mark Gueller as account manager. Comcast also promoted Lisa Padilla to director of content services and Dianne DeBerard to director of marketing.

PGM INTEGRATED: Recently added Janice Roetenberg as director of public relations and Jordan Levy as online marketing strategist.

MONTGOMERY LITTLE SORAN & MURRAY PC: Named Amy Cook-Olson and Wil liam Searfoorce Jr. as equity shareholders. The law firm also named Kara Knowles and Heather Weckbaugh shareholders in the firm.

WILDBLUE COMMUNICATIONS INC.: Announced that Mark Adolph has joined the company as chief financial officer.
