Single-game tickets for the Rapids’ Major League Soccer season go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. Tickets also will be available at all Dick’s Sporting Goods stores.
The Rapids face D.C. United in their home opener April 7. They will take on the Columbus Crew in the annual Fourth of July game, and the team will meet the Los Angeles Galaxy on Aug. 26 in David Beckham’s scheduled first regular-season game.
Rage rallies for CHL win in Broomfield
The Rocky Mountain Rage of the Central Hockey League erased a two-goal deficit in the third period for a 4-3 win over the visiting Wichita Thunder at the Broomfield Event Center. Adam Stefishen’s two goals led the Rage, and Clay Plume added a goal and an assist.
Craig Olynick’s goal with 1:43 remaining, assisted by Plume and Matic Kralj, proved to be the game-winner.
