MASTER JAM

O’ Hara’s Jams & Jellies

929B Colorado 3, Durango

1-888-JAMJELL

Durango has been holding out on us. Time to spread the word on the tasty goods from O’Hara’s – and there are plenty of them. Jarred gems like the pineapple-habanero BBQ sauce, peach-jalapeño jam and cannon-fire salsa are as good as they sound. You can get it all on online at oharasjamsandjellies.com

GAME ON!

Underground Games

62 E. Arapahoe Road, Centennial

Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. 720-364-7084

Need an extra Monopoly thimble? Owner Chad Stobbe knows that some players are not looking for a complete board-game replacement. So along with offering standard role-playing game fare, such as miniatures and 20-sided dice, Stebbe sells spare pieces to traditional board games for a quarter. Check out the shelves of vintage board games – who remembers Hangman with Vincent Price on the box? – and many newer offerings. And in case your group needs to spread out, there are rooms available for hourly rental.

SWEET!

Sugar’s

645 C Tenacity Drive, Longmont

sugarsicecream.com 303-459-7942

The prospects for satisfying a sweet tooth in south Longmont improved greatly when Sugar’s opened last fall in the Prospect New Town neighborhood. Lately the shop is scooping Glacier ice cream, and if you get there around 5 p.m. on a Tuesday, Kay Aitchison will have fresh-baked desserts to take home too.
