The family of Linda Damm, the Lafayette woman who was stabbed to death in her home, allegedly by her daughter’s boyfriend, released a statement Friday saying they want those responsible for the gruesome killing to be punished.

“We feel that every person involved in this horrific crime that resulted in the death and desecration of our sister should be held accountable,” said the family statement, which was provided to DenverPost.com today by KUSA-TV.

Three teens have been charged as adults in the slaying of 52-year-old Damm.

Tess Damm, 15, the victim’s daughter, is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, tampering with evidence and being an accessory to a crime.

Her boyfriend, Bryan Grove, 17, has been charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy and tampering with evidence. Police believe he was Linda Damm’s killer.

Jared Guy, 18, a friend of the couple, faces the same accessory and tampering charges as Tess Damm.

A fourth teen, Jared Smith, 16, is being held in connection with the test but hasn’t been charged yet.

Linda Damm’s body was found Feb. 28 after police received an anonymous tip that led them to her home, which she shared with Tess, in the 700 block of West Brome Place in Lafayette.

The family statement asked for privacy from the media, but also said it has been relying on the press for the information they have been getting about the killing.

The statement also contained a message for Tess Damm: “We want Tess to know that we love her.”
