The Colorado Rapids will offer a new ticket package, the “Becks Flex Pack,” which will include tickets to the Aug. 26 Rapids game against the Los Angeles Galaxy and David Beckham. Also included in the package will be a choice of two of four games, April 15 vs. Chicago, May 10 vs. Salt Lake, July 8 vs. New York or Aug. 16 vs. New England.
The Rapids sold out of the Aug. 26 match in 90 minutes, their most successful single-game ticket on-sale date in the club’s history.
Prices for the “Becks Flex Plan” range from $51 to $96.
Eagles clinch CHL division title
With a 6-1 victory over Oklahoma on Tuesday night at the Budweiser Events Center, the Colorado Eagles became the Northwest Division champions of the Central Hockey League for a fourth straight season.
Ed McGrane scored two goals and had an assist for the Eagles, who had captain Greg Pankewicz playing for the first time in 46 games. He added two assists.
Colorado 14ers lose Amundson, sign Jones
The Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League were left with an open roster spot after Louis Amundson signed a 10-day contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, and Tuesday the 14ers signed forward Mark Jones from the player pool. Jones played in the Ukranian Superleague, as well as part of the season in 2005 with the Orlando Magic.
