A 25-year-old stadium announcer for the Colorado Eagles minor league hockey team was named Friday as the new announcer for the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.
Reed Saunders, who also works in sales at Molson Coors in Golden, replaces Alan Roach, who stepped down this year after 14 years as the Coors Field announcer.
More than 250 people applied and 18 were chosen to audition.
It was not immediately clear whether Saunders would continue working for the Eagles, a Central Hockey League team that plays in Loveland. Neither team immediately returned messages.
