Air Force faces Minnesota on Saturday in Denver in the first round of the NCAA hockey tournament.
The Falcons earned their first trip to the NCAA tournament with a 6-1 victory over Army on Saturday night to win the Atlantic Hockey Association title.
Minnesota is the top seed in the West Regional while the Falcons are seeded fourth.
Second-seeded Michigan plays third seed North Dakota in the other West Regional matchup Saturday.
Denver, which won back-to-back NCAA titles in 2004 and 2005, failed to make the 16-team tournament field for the second straight season.
