DENVER URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY: Elected James Basey chairman of the board of commissioners. Basey replaces Don Elliman, who has resigned to head the state of Colorado’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade.

DENVER HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Honored Ivette Dominguez of Alpine Buick Pontiac GMC as Business Woman of the Year and Jerry Natividad of American Facility Services Group as Business Man of the Year during its recent annual meeting and awards luncheon. The chamber also named Perla Gheiler of American Family Insurance corporate advocate of the year; Detective Virginia Quiñones, Denver Police Department, government advocate of the year; and Gracie Casias, Title Guaranty Agency of Colorado, chamber advocate of the year.
