The Colorado Division of Wildlife will conduct free seminars Tuesday and Thursday at its office in Salida, 7405 U.S. 50, to assist hunters with their license applications for deer, elk, pronghorn, bear, moose, bighorn sheep and mountain goat. The sessions are designed to help hunters avoid errors. DOW also will have computer terminals available for those who wish to file online.
Tips for licenses
The Division of Wildlife has increased the awards for citizens who report hunting violations. Through the program called Turn In Poachers (TIP), preference points and in some cases free hunting licenses will be given to those who provide information that helps catch poachers. TIP participants can contact a DOW office or call Operation Game Thief, 877-265-6648. Tipsters aren’t required to reveal their names or testify in court.
