Larimer County Parks and Open Lands will join the fishing expo mania with a full program of activities April 1 at the First National Bank Building at The Ranch, adjacent to Interstate 25 just north of the Colorado 34 exit.
Featured activities include kids casting, youth introduction to fishing, fishing strategy seminars, displays of fishing gear and boats and door prizes. Angling authorities Terry Wickstrom, Chad LaChance, Nate Zelinsky and Bernie Keefe are among the presenters. Boats may be displayed for sale without charge.
As a companion event, Larimer Parks will offer a free night of camping either April 14 or 15 at Horsetooth, Carter, Flatiron or Pinewood reservoirs, all on a first-come basis with an 8 a.m. check-in. For information, 970-498-5600.
