Three out-of-state college students shot early Sunday at a light rail station after being robbed were expected to survive, said police detective Virginia Quinones.
She said the three, whose names and hometowns were not released, had attended a concert and gone to the nearby station at 5 a.m.
Two suspects, described as black and wearing ski masks, approached and demanded their money. The victims complied but were still shot, one in the neck, one in the back, and one in the chest.
Quinones said there were witnesses but police so far have no suspect. The shootings shut down service to the station for about four hours.
