CU women’s tennis team falls to Fresno State

The University of Colorado women’s tennis team lost to No. 13 Fresno State 6-1 on Monday. It was the third straight loss for the 20th-ranked Buffalos.

Gleisy Torres Torres won her 50th career singles match, defeating Vanessa Heroux 6-3, 6-3 for Colorado’s only point.

Prep hockey players to be honored

The Colorado Avalanche and the Hobey Baker Foundation will honor high school hockey players, awarding the first Hobey Baker High School Character Award.

Based on character, sportsmanship, citizenship, teamwork and academics, coaches and teammates selected 65 hockey players to represent each team in the state of Colorado. Each honoree will be honored at the Avalanche game against Vancouver tonight, and receive a commemorative plaque.
