Getting your player ready...

Height: 6-feet.

Weight: 175 pounds.

Age: 17. Born Jan. 27, 1990, in Arvada.

High school sports: Baseball (catcher), football (quarterback) and basketball (guard).

Grade-point average: 3.4.

Class: Junior.

My favorite subject: Spanish, because I get to learn a different language and have fun while doing it.

My favorite athlete: Ivan Rodriguez, one of the best catchers and he’s fundamentally sound.

My favorite team: Boston Red Sox, because I’m a fan of Manny Ramirez and it’s fun to watch him play.

What I listen to: Rock, hip-hop and alternative rock.

The best thing on my training table: My mom’s cooking, pastas for energy.

Pregame ritual: I usually play catch with the same person and dress the same before each game.

Time management tip: I use my in-class time wisely and get most of my work done at school. School comes first, then sports.

Planned career: Coach or player; undecided on college.

My family: Parents Denise and Gino; brothers Hondo, Mariana and Emilio.

I would love to visit: Boston, to see the Red Sox play.

What I like most about high school sports: Just the relationships I have with friends and growing with them.

What I like least about high school sports: I would like it if the seasons were longer.
