AURORA, Colo.-
A man suspected of driving a man charged in the slaying of a convenience store clerk has been arrested, police said Saturday.
Denver police arrested Jonathan A. Ortiz, 28, on Thursday on suspicion of being an accessory to first-degree murder, Aurora police said.
Investigators suspect he drove John Andrew Doubleday, 23, the night a 7-Eleven store was robbed Dec. 10.
Doubleday faces charges including first-degree murder and aggravated robbery in the shooting death of store clerk Jutte Gallegos Burton, 62. He was arrested along with Amie Renee Lewis in Colorado Springs in December after surveillance video pointed to Doubleday, police said.
Lewis faced a charge of being an accessory to murder.
Police were still looking for Jacob Medina, 23, for questioning in the case. He was wanted on outstanding warrants for a parole violation and failure to register as a sex offender, police said.
