Golden – Three men have been arrested and a fourth man is being sought in connection with the shooting death of a 20-year-old south Jefferson County resident.
The body of victim, whose name is not being released at this time, was found at about 5 p.m. Tuesday in the garage at 6412 W. Morraine Place.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call from a 17-year-old male who shares the house with his grandmother.
The teenager told authorities that he came home and found a dead bloody stranger in the garage just inside the door leading from the house.
Deputies were met in the front yard by the 17-year-old and another man. They were taken in for questioning. Three other men contacted at other locations were later brought in for interviews.
Arrested for first-degree homicide and aggravated robbery are Aaron Zamora, 19; Jeffrey DePault, 20; and the 17-year-old, who had attended nearby Columbine High School for a time.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Adam Zamora, 20, who remains at large.
Authorities have recovered a white Dodge Neon in connection with what investigators believe was a gathering of six young men Tuesday afternoon at the home.
