Boosted by critical acclaim and in spite of weak ratings, “30 Rock” won an early renewal from NBC Wednesday. The series, from and starring Tina Fey, about a show akin to “Saturday Night Live,” was considered “on the bubble” due to middling Nielsen numbers. The sitcom, co-starring Alec Baldwin in a brilliant turn as a GE corporate exec (in charge of late-night comedy and toaster oven divisions), returns to the schedule Thursday, at 7:30 on Channel 9.
