MIXING IT UP
Timber Peaks Gourmet
timberpeaksgourmet.com or 303-841-8847
After 17 years of calling themselves the Mountain House Kitchen, the popular food makers in Parker have changed their name to Timber Peaks Gourmet. Seems there was a little trademark issue with some foodies in Oregon. No matter, the products are the same, local favorites, and now include their latest, Hiker’s Delight Gorp. Soup and bread mixes and other treats with Colorado-friendly names like Cowboy Crunch Trail Mix and Ski Bum Chili can be purchased off the website.
FLYAWAY FUN
Dragonfly Art Projects
$25, dragonflyin.com
Every kid’s creative, it’s just a matter of drawing it out. Boulder-based Dragonfly Innovation has put a bunch of art projects – like sidewalk paint, art clay, modeling wire and special papers – in a box with a “flight guide” and question cards to stimulate thinking. There’s no picture on the box, so where your child will land with her project is anyone’s guess.
