Getting your player ready...

Height: 5-feet-10.

Weight: 175 pounds.

Age: 17. Born June 14, 1989, in Denver.

High school sports: Baseball (second base, all-Jefferson County Class 5A in 2006); basketball (guard), and football (safety, all-Mountain Plains 4A).

Grade-point average: 3.9.

Class: Senior.

My favorite subject: Mathematics. It has always come pretty easy to me.

My favorite athlete: Vladimir Guerrero, he’s a rags-to-riches kind of guy. Never lets anything go by him at the plate.

My favorite team: Broncos, I grew up watching them.

What I listen to: Country.

The best thing on my training table: Eggs Benedict.

Pregame ritual: Most days I try to get lunch at Wendy’s.

Time management tip: Never be overwhelmed, it’s never as much as it seems. And you go with a lack of sleep sometimes.

Planned career: Considering engineering; signed with Yavapai (Ariz.) College for baseball.

My family: Parents Christine and Jordan, brother Justin, sister Tina.

I would love to visit: The Bahamas.

What I like most about high school sports: I like the atmosphere when you have the school behind you – it makes everything more enjoyable, the big crowds at the games.

What I like least about high school sports: I like it all … maybe we could play some more games.
