Jennifer Lopez is becoming quite the happy homemaker. J.Lo told Elle magazine her third marriage, to singer Marc Anthony, has made her “a pretty good cook.” Lopez added: “As you get older you realize that the thing that keeps a relationship together is the more domestic stuff – I wanted to have that with Marc. I do lots of Italian and Puerto Rican dishes, but his favorite is a breaded steak.”
When Britney Spears dined at Tao Las Vegas on March 31, one of her minions apparently told management to “not serve her any alcohol and to not put drink menus on the table,” a source told the New York Daily News. Spears was “very pleasant to staff,” ate dumplings and sushi – and drank only Diet Pepsi and iced tea.
In an open letter to “American Idol” finalist Sanjaya Malakar, KFC president Gregg Dedrick offered him a lifetime supply of its chicken bowls if he gets a bowl cut. Malakar has become about as famous for his hairstyles on the Fox reality series as for his singing. In his letter, Dedrick said: “We are sure America will be as ‘bowled- over’ by your take on this classic look as they are by our KFC Famous Bowls.” Or Sanjaya could grease his hair with some original recipe and appear on the show as Danny Zuko.
Rachael Ray is a good Samaritan and eco-friendly. The talk show host and Food Network star planned the menu and helped prepare dinner for prom at Enterprise (Ala.) High School, which was destroyed by a tornado on March 1. According to a statement by her rep, Ray paid for the dance, which was shot for an episode of her daytime talk show to air April 30. Mandy Moore performed three songs at the end of the prom. The New York Post reported Ray puts her money where her mouth is on environmental issues. Ray drives a Prius and uses Ozo Car – a limo service that has only Toyota Prius or Lexus RX400h models in its fleet – if she needs to be chauffeured somewhere, the Post wrote.
