Police have arrested a fourth suspect in a fatal shooting of a 20-year-old Jefferson County man last week.
Aurora police, acting on an anonymous Crimestoppers tip, arrested Adam Zamora, 30, inside an Aurora apartment complex on South Walden Way Monday night.
Zamora had been on the run since last Tuesday when authorities learned of a man found dead in a garage on West Morraine Place in Jefferson County. The dead man’s identity has not been released.
Sheriff’s deputies found the body after a 17-year-old man who lives with his grandmother in the house called 911.
After a short investigation, authorities arrested Aaron Zamora, 19; Jeffrey DePault, 20; and the 17-year-old, who once attended nearby Columbine High School. The three were arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery. Zamora and DePault are being held at the Jefferson County jail, and the 17-year-old is at the Mount View youth detention facility.
Adam Zamora, arrested today, has been arrested numerous times since 2005 on charges that include marijuana possession, being a fugitive from another jurisdiction, possession of dangerous drugs, reckless endangerment, possession of a weapon, altering weapon identification, driving while his license was revoked and vehicle theft, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Investigators said the dead man knew the four who have been arrested.
