
Mandy Moore fractured her ankle jumping off a boat for a Self magazine photo shoot, a rep for the actress told People magazine. “It happened at the end of February in Mexico,” her rep said. “It was for one of the setups for the spread where she had to jump into the water.” Moore, 22, who has been sporting a walking cast on her right leg for the past few weeks, graces the cover of Self’s June issue.
Ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell is writing a series of children’s books for release next year, and has returned to the studio to record the series’ theme song. The former Ginger Spice said Thursday she has landed a six-book publishing deal with Macmillan to chronicle the animated adventures of Ugenia Lavender, a bold and assertive 9-year-old girl who balances everyday school life with solving mysteries and working her way out of fantastic situations.
“Laguna Beach” bad boy Jason Wahler was arrested last weekend – for the fourth time in nine months, TMZ.com reports. Wahler was picked up by Seattle police just after 2 a.m. for trespassing and assault.On March 6, Wahler was sentenced to 60 days in an L.A. County Jail, and must turn himself in sometime before May 4 to begin serving time for roughing up a tow truck driver. He’s due in court in North Carolina to answer to charges of resisting a public officer during an underage-drinking sweep. He was also busted in August on cocaine possession and other charges in New York City. Busy boy!
Sandra Bullock is in the middle of a vicious baby battle, according to the National Enquirer. The “Speed” star is rallying behind hubby Jesse James in his fight to win custody of his 3-year-old daughter, Sunny, from his ex-wife, porn star Janine Lindemulder, say sources. But Lindemulder is not giving up easily – and insiders say she blames Bullock for pushing James to snatch Sunny away from her.
