CENTENNIAL, Colo.-
Firefighters found the remains of one person in an explosion that destroyed one house and damaged two others early Saturday, South Metro Fire Rescue spokesman Andy Lyon said.
The cause of the explosion, which occurred shortly after midnight, was under investigation.
One man lived in the home that was flattened, but coroner’s officials could not immediately confirm whether he was the victim, Lyon said.
No other injuries were reported.
Fifty firefighters had the blaze extinguished within an hour but spent two more hours looking for victims and dousing hot spots.
