Getting your player ready...

Height: 5-feet-8 1/2.

Weight: 138 pounds.

Age: 17. Born: Jan. 13, 1990, in Aurora.

High school sport: Soccer (forward, 11 goals entering the weekend).

Grade-point average: 4.1.

Class: Junior.

My favorite subjects: Sciences, such as biology, because I’m interested in becoming a doctor.

My favorite athlete: John Lynch. He’s a good role model and seems like an awesome guy, and he’s animal on the field.

My favorite team: The Broncos. They have been since I was a kid, and my whole family loves them.

What I listen to: Country and rap.

The best thing on my training table: Italian.

Prematch ritual: I just go play and get my head into the game.

Time management tip: Mostly, I keep a schedule and do homework after practice. Don’t let yourself get behind.

Planned career: Pediatrician; has committed to Texas A&M.

My family: Parents Patti and Dave, brother Jason, sister Angela.

I would love to visit: Thailand.

What I like most about high school sports: I like the whole atmosphere. It’s a lot more laid-back than club sports, but it’s also good to be surrounded by students you go to school with. I like playing with classmates.

What I like least about high school sports: I like it all, but girls spring sports tend to get snowed out a lot.

Preps

Each week, The Denver Post, The Denver Athletic Club and 9News honor male and female student-athletes. At the end of the school year, 10 finalists will be honored at The DAC’s annual athlete of the year banquet, to be held in early June.
