Getting your player ready...

Usually, when a college football player makes the rounds of the national morning TV shows, it’s because he won the Heisman or proposed to his cheerleader girlfriend on the sideline.

Colorado State wide receiver George Hill is in demand after he picked up 4-year-old Caden Thomas while flat on his back to keep Thomas’ head from hitting the padded wall at Hughes Stadium last Saturday. The video clips of Hill’s end zone touchdown catch and plowing into the boy could be seen on many websites.

“I saw the clips on TV after the game and it looked way worse on TV than it really was,” Hill said.

The “Today” show and “Good Morning America” invited Hill and the Thomas family to New York to appear on this morning’s shows. It is Hill’s first trip to New York and his first meeting with the boy’s family since the collision.
