Get a little taste of the ear candy scheduled for this fall when renowned Welsh harpist Robin Huw Bowen plays a benefit concert for the Spanish Peaks International Celtic Music Festival at 7 p.m. Wednesday. His instrument is the Welsh triple harp, the harp of choice for traditional gypsy dance music. Guaranteed to make you want to wander down south again in September.

It’s hard to decide which kind of treat to get at this tiny, independent cookie shop in a Parker strip mall. We say go with the peanut butter. On second thought, the chocolate chip. No, definitely make it their new offering, the avalanche, big, round and loaded with white chocolate chips. This place is a great homemade alternative to the big cookie chains.
