A boulder weighing about 20 tons fell onto North Turkey Creek Road in the Jefferson County foothills today, closing the road between U.S. 285 and High Drive.
A demolition crew is being sought to remove the boulder and it is not known how long the road will remain closed, according to Jim Shires, spokesman with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
