OMAHA, Neb.-
Creighton extended its NCAA-best winning streak to 10 games with a 9-4 win over Northern Colorado on Saturday.
Creighton never trailed as seven different players drove in runs for the Bluejays.
Creighton (29-11) loaded the bases and scored two runs on a Darin Ruf single before Northern Colorado starter Dan Kazell recorded an out. The Bluejays scored once more in the first and again in the second and third innings to take a 5-0 lead.
Northern Colorado (10-25) scored three runs in the fourth inning on singles from Kevin Sandberg and Adam Symons.
The Bluejays scored four more times in the sixth inning, capped by a Chris Gradoville double that scored two runs to bring the score to 9-3.
Zak Moore threw 6 1-3 innings for the win. Kazell took the loss.
