The Colorado qualifier for the 2007 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship will play at Fox Hollow Golf Course in Lakewood on May 29. It will be one of about 40 18-hole qualifiers across the country. The Pub Links championship will start June 18 at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Ky.
Entries for the area qualifier must be given to the U.S. Golf Association by May 9; cost is $50. Female amateur golfers with a handicap below 18.5 are eligible. Check usga.org for more information.
14ers to play for D-League title tonight
The two highest-scoring teams in the NBA Development League will meet in today’s championship game when the Colorado 14ers take on the Dakota Wizards at the Bismarck Civic Center in Bismarck, N.D.
Elton Brown, who paced the D-League in double-doubles this season with 21, will lead Colorado. The teams split the four-game regular-season series.
Eagles look to even series with home win
The Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League, 3-2 overtime losers to the Memphis RiverKings in a Northern Conference finals series opener Friday, will look to tie the series when the teams meet for Game 2 today at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland.
