BRECKENRIDGE, Colo.-
More than 140 volunteers looking for an attorney who hadn’t been seen in two days ended a search Sunday without finding him.
Police Chief Rick Holman said his department would not do more searching unless officers receive information to expand the search area. Holman said police would follow some investigative leads, but he declined to elaborate.
Royal “Scoop” Daniel III, 61, was last seen Friday, when a security camera captured him entering his office at 5:35 a.m. There was no record of his exit.
Daniel made cell phone calls and bank transfers—but no withdrawals—between then and 7:45 a.m., police said. His dog, car and personal belongings were left behind.
Co-workers became concerned after Daniel missed two appointments.
A search Sunday of a 2-mile radius around Daniel’s office found nothing.
“The results of the debrief are completely inconclusive,” said Brian Binge, Summit County Rescue Group field operation manager. “We’ve found nothing.”
So far, there has been no evidence of foul play, police spokeswoman Crystal Dean said.
