Kid Rock is proving there ain’t no charity like Detroit charity. The country-rap-rocker from the Motor City has offered to help a Milan, Mich., girls golf team after six sets of clubs were stolen out of the coach’s car in a nearby town Monday night.

Rock, née Robert Ritchie, called up coach Claire Neff after he read about the theft in a local newspaper. “I was just stunned,” Neff said.

The former Mr. Pamela Anderson is a native of Romeo, Mich., and said he would get new custom golf clubs to replace those belonging to Neff and five players from the high school about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.

Rock talked to pro golfer John Daly, who suggested calling TaylorMade Golf. TaylorMade agreed to send the clubs by the end of the week.

Neff said she has also received about 40 calls from people offering donations.
