When it comes to a kickoff of the fly-fishing season, the extravaganza scheduled for May 12 at Blue Quill Angler stands out for its talent and depth of subjects. Included on a program that runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. are: John Barr, fly patterns; Marty Bartholomew, fly-tying and where to fish in Colorado; Mike Bostwick, two casting seminars; Rim Chung, fly-tying demo; Pat Dor- sey, nymphing strategies; Jonathan Keisling, Czech nymphing techniques; Landon Mayer, catching trophy trout; and Michael Tucker, tying woven, liquid and computer-generated flies. Manufacturers representatives will include Mike Clough of Orvis; Scott Harkins of Winston; Michael White of Simms; and Van Rollo and Erik Johnson of Sage, Ross, FishPond, Rio and Action Optics.
