Jonathan Rhys Meyers, the trim actor, portrays King Henry VIII in the Showtime series “The Tudors” without the heavy padding. And the Brit doesn’t apologize for being a skinny king. “This is TV drama,” Meyers told skynews.com’s Ann Montini. “You can’t have somebody that fat on screen who’s meant to be playing a romantic. Besides, it wasn’t my decision. That was down to production.”
Dangerously underweight less than a year ago, Kate Bosworth, after an April 23 appearance at New York charity gala, looks like she has “gained 10 to 15 pounds,” Beverly Hills nutritionist Jonny Bowden told Us Weekly. Weighing 95 pounds at one point, Bosworth, 24, “stopped partying, started working out more, eating a bit more,” a source said. Stress from her breakup with Orlando Bloom in September did not help, a friend added. Bosworth is dating model James Rousseau and is using a regimen that includes strength-building activities like hiking, improving her health.
Did Britney Spears get a little medical help en route to her new hot bod? In Touch Weekly reports Spears has visited Fig, the former Las Vegas Advanced LipoDissolve Center, for injections that help dissolve fat and laser toning treatments. A rep denies the report. Spears visited a West Los Angeles boutique, Sweetpeas & Snapshots, on April 25 and donned a size 0 dress. “The last person who fit into that dress was a 9-year-old child,” Suzi Finer, the store’s marketing director, said.

DeGeneres, 49, “tore a ligament and did something to something else” when leaning over to pick up her dog in her kitchen, she said. “This is not a sweeps stunt. … This is not like what Regis (Philbin) did – that whole bypass surgery,” said DeGeneres, who is expected to remain in bed for about a week.
