Center Mark Fenton, who missed the last half of his senior season at the University of Colorado with a broken leg, signed a free-agent contract with the Denver Broncos on Monday.
The Broncos also signed former Virginia Tech kicker Brandon Pace and waived rookie guard Tim Duckworth.
A quick, athletic blocker, Fenton (6-foot-4, 295 pounds) played in 42 games for the Buffaloes, starting 31 times. He was named All-Big 12 following his junior year.
Pace was a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award that goes to the nation’s top kicker and was All-Atlantic Coast Conference his last three seasons.
