ST. LOUIS-
Colorado Rockies manager Clint Hurdle was ejected in the ninth inning Monday after umpires ruled that Troy Tulowitzki’s drive off the top of the wall in left center was a double and not a home run.
Replays were inconclusive on Tulowitzki’s shot off Brian Falkenborg of the St. Louis Cardinals, but appeared to show the ball striking the base of a metal railing just above the top of the wall with one out in a game tied at 2.
Second base umpire Bob Davidson made the call and did not alter his ruling after consulting the rest of the crew.
