Sheriff’s deputies raided a home and three “grow houses” in Loveland and Fort Collins where they found 28 guns, three cars and nearly 2,000 live marijuana plants.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s office also found another 200 pounds of harvested marijuana, which, combined with the plants, would have a street value of about $1.1 million.
The raids were conducted Friday on a house in the 3900 block of Platte Drive in Fort Collins, owned by Michael Porter, 38. The information recovered there led investigators to search Porter’s other properties in the 3200 block of West County Road 72 in Fort Collins and the 1700 block of Moonstone Circle in Loveland.
They then searched a house owned by Adam Schweibish, 39, in the 300 block of Blue Azurite Avenue in Loveland.
Deputies found the marijuana in the houses on Platte Drive, Moonstone Circle and Blue Azurite Avenue. The guns and vehicles were seized at the County Road 72 address.
Porter has been charged with numerous felonies, including marijuana cultivation, marijuana possession over 8 ounces, possession with intent to distribute and being a special offender because of the weapons, having more than 100 pounds of marijuana and having a substantial portion of his income derived from selling drugs.
Schweibish was charged with the same felonies except for the special offender charge.
