Ty Pennington now gets to remodel his reputation. The hunky carpenter-host of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” was arrested at about 12:15 a.m. Saturday by Los Angeles police officers on a driving-under-the-influence charge, E Online reported. Pennington, 42, who has a June 4 court hearing, issued an apology. “I made an error in judgment. We all make mistakes, however this is about accountability. Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving. I could have jeopardized the lives of others, and I am grateful there was no accident or harm done to anyone. This was my wake-up call.”
Lindsay Lohan, according to the National Enquirer, was house hunting in Hollywood recently. Lohan snorted at the real estate agent – within earshot of the $17 million home’s owner: “I’ve just bought $200,000 worth of new clothes, and this dump doesn’t even have enough closet space to put them in!” Lohan reportedly stormed out, causing the agent to remark, “So … I guess that means she doesn’t like it,” while apologizing to the homeowner.
Suzanne Somers is a survivor – she’s endured an abusive childhood, dyslexia, breast cancer and several bad career choices. She told “Access Hollywood” she plans to rebuild the Malibu, Calif., home she shares with her husband, Alan Hamel. The beachfront property was destroyed by a fire four months ago and Somers said she plans to rebuild from the ground up in the same spot. “It was a beautiful house; it was a beautiful place to live. Sometimes you find a spot on Earth and it’s worth it.”
Real estate queen Barbara Corcoran knows a thing or two about the housing market, but airplane flights? When boarding a flight from Washington to New York, Corcoran discovered another woman on the flight had the same boarding pass. When the plane landed, a source told the New York Post, Corcoran got in a cab and told the driver she wanted to go to 79th Street and Madison Avenue. The driver replied, “You would have to pay me double.” Corcoran quickly figured out why: She was in Syracuse.
