Justin Timberlake says he may be going a little bit country soon. The Memphis, Tenn., native told USA Today he longs to go back to his Tennessee roots. “I’ve had a good share of the spotlight. I don’t feel I need too much of it right now. I want to write country music, because I grew up in Tennessee, and soul music.”

Jessica Simpson, the redhead, had another blond moment Monday night. The actress-singer got into the wrong car outside her New York hotel after posing for photographers. Simpson jumped into a black SUV and her hairdresser Ken Paves realized her mistake, snagging Simpson and leading her into a limousine in front of the SUV as they headed to the Costume Institute Gala, TMZ.com reported.
Happy Mother’s Day. Usher revealed he has dumped his mother, Jonetta Patton, as his manager.The five-time Grammy Award-winning singer says the split is amicable. Usher, 28, has been managed by his mother since his debut album was released in 1994. Usher recently announced his engagement to long-term girlfriend and stylist Tameka Foster and he says it is time to cut the apron strings. “It means I now get to have my mother strictly as my mother with no added pressure,” he told the Associated Press. “At this time in my life, I am simply more interested in building the strength of my family. And in order to do that, I feel it’s best to separate my business life from my personal life.”
