Denver – The price of unleaded fuel in Colorado hit an average of $3.13 a gallon this week, the highest ever recorded in the state by AAA.
The price was 15 cents a gallon higher than last week and 29 cents higher than two weeks ago, the auto club said.
It was the 14th consecutive weekly rise in the group’s survey. One year ago, the price was 30 cents lower.
Vail reported the highest average price in the state, $3.31, while Greeley had the lowest at $3.08.
The national average was $3.03 this week, nearly three cents short of the record.
