STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo.-
Colorado Mountain College trustees are looking for a president to replace Robert Spuhler, who will retire next year.
Spuhler’s contract expires in June 2008, but he will stay on board as long as necessary to find a replacement, Doris Dewton, chairwoman of the board, told the Steamboat Springs Pilot & Today in Tuesday’s editions.
Spuhler could stay on as long as December 2008 if no replacement is found by then, she said.
Spuhler is the school’s seventh president, a position he accepted in December 2003 after serving as interim president for one year. He began his career at CMC in 1988 as vice president for student services.
CMC has more than 20,000 students on campuses in nine counties.
