Radio talk-show host “Gunny Bob” Newman, criticized this week for saying Muslims in the country should be “required by law” to wear GPS tracking bracelets, avoided the topic on his show tonight.
Instead, the KOA 850-AM host and callers spent the three-hour program agreeing that a Conference on World Affairs lecture to teen-agers in Boulder encouraging sexual activity and the use of drugs and alcohol was “an outrage.”
Three advertisers withdrew their ads from Newman’s show after he told listeners, “I want every Muslim immigrant to America who holds a green card, a visa, or who is a naturalized citizen to be required by law to wear a GPS tracking bracelet at all times.”
He also proposed that government “bug their places of work and their residences.”
There were numerous commercials despite the withdrawals.
