Denver firm taking S.D. higher

Denver-based RNL Design is designing South Dakota’s tallest building.

The $40 million project, being developed by Dream Design Inc., will be a 17-story, 380,000-square-foot building that mixes residential, office and retail space.

“It will be the first urban residential project in Rapid City,” said Rich von Luhrte, president of RNL.

Christian Living renovation

Christian Living Communities plans to spend $50 million redeveloping its 35-year-old University Hills campus to provide more services and amenities.

The project includes replacing the existing building with two new buildings – a two-story skilled nursing center and a four-story independent-living building. It also will remodel The Living Center apartments to house tailored-living, memory-support and assisted- living residents. It will build a new town center to provide a community environment for residents and visitors.

When the project is finished in five years, it will serve 260 residents.

Free home-assessment help

Agents can provide homeowners with information about the sales prices of comparable homes in their neighborhoods to help determine if their new assessments are accurate. Call 303-418-1800.

Urban market seeks art, food

Artisans will be located in the plaza area between 15th and 16th streets, and farmers will be located on Glenarm Place between 15th and 16th streets.
