AURORA, Colo.-
Someone who burglarized a temporary classroom at an elementary school left a bomb threat on a sticky note, but a police search turned up nothing, authorities said Tuesday.
A maintenance worker at Village East Elementary in this east Denver suburb discovered the note and evidence of a burglary at 7 a.m., Cherry Creek Public Schools spokeswoman Tustin Amole said.
All the school’s buildings were evacuated for the search, but Amole said only a few students and staff were there. She did not have an exact number.
Students and staff were allowed to return at 7:50 a.m.
Two weeks ago, SWAT teams combed Boulder High School for four hours after a cook reported seeing two suspicious men in the building at about dawn, both wearing camouflage and one wearing a ski mask. Nothing was found.
