Frontier Airlines said Tuesday it will start service to Costa Rica in November, adding to its stable of international resort destinations.

The U.S. Transportation Department has approved Frontier’s route between Denver International Airport and San Jose, Costa Rica.

The Denver-based airline serves eight Mexican resort cities including Cancun and Puerto Vallarta as well as two cities in Canada.

Service to San Jose will begin Nov. 30 with round-trip flights scheduled on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Frontier’s stock dipped 6 cents to $6.26 a share in early trading.

Frontier is the second-biggest airline at Denver’s airport behind United Airlines, offering service to 58 destinations in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
